Our neighbors all across the country are
being affected by disasters this year—a record number of tornadoes, the
worst flooding in the Midwest in 15 years, an early wildfire season and
an active hurricane season.
You can change a life, starting with your
own, by supporting the American Red Cross Campaign for Disaster Relief,
and helping the Red Cross raise $100 million for the Disaster Relief
Fund.
Your generous donations to the Disaster
Relief Fund, depleted as a result of an active year of disasters, allows
the Red Cross to mobilize volunteers who provide food, shelter and
counseling to people who need it, whenever and wherever disasters occur.

Red Cross on the Ground as Wildfires Take a Toll
on California
As wildfires continue to devastate many parts of Southern

ground to ensure evacuees have a safe place to go.
Anne Soeder – Hurricane Ike Volunteer Profile
Anne Soeder, disaster volunteer with the Triangle Area Chapter in
Raleigh, NC has recovered from several natural disasters that
affected her own life. That’s why she volunteers with the Red Cross
today.
Our Supporters
Only through the support of our donors is the Red Cross mission a
reality.
Words of Hope
The Red Cross
presence in Galveston has been incredible. Even though we haven't
needed the food, it has been so comforting to hear the truck come by
twice a day, just in case we ever do. We've gotten to know the
workers on "our" truck and they are so kind and compassionate. After
giving to the Red Cross after every other disaster, it's
enlightening to be on the receiving end. Keep up the fantastic
work!! -
