Directions for American Red Cross
National Background Check:

All Red Cross employees and registered volunteers must undergo background checks through a single mandatory vendor.

If you are a candidate to volunteer, an applicant
for employment, or a current Red Cross employee
or volunteer who has never received a Red Cross background check, you must do so now.

OBTAINING A BACKGROUND CHECK THROUGH mybackgroundcheck.com

In order to initiate your American Red Cross national background check, please follow these simple steps:

1.      Visit the website at www.mybackgroundcheck.com/arcvts

2.      Choose “Request a Background Check”

3.      Select Washington State and then select American Red Cross Mount Rainier Chapter.

4.      Please read with care the information regarding your rights and provide your consent to the background check by following the steps.

5.      Enter the information as requested. Please verify that all information has been typed in correctly. If anything is mistyped, there is
the possibility that your background will not
be approved or be flagged for follow-up,
which will cause delays in processing your application.

6.      Wait to hear about the results from the Red Cross Office of Volunteers and/or the vendor, mybackgroundcheck.com. Results may be discussed with you by phone if necessary.

7.      If you dispute the results of the background check for any reason, please follow the instructions provided by the vendor, mybackgroundcheck.com.
