Disaster Welfare Inquiries
|
|
|
|
Following natural
disasters, it is often difficult
for families to get in contact with loved ones
due to downed trees, loss of power and debris hampering recovery
efforts. Adding to the material losses, the confusion and chaos after
a disaster often make it difficult to reach family members just when
they need each other the most.
Local residents, who have been unable to contact their family members
affected by a disaster, are encouraged to be patient and try
to keep calling as it may take awhile before power and communications
are fully restored.
