Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the American Red Cross of Tacoma-Pierce County. 

Red Cross volunteers touch many lives in Pierce County everyday whether it’s responding to a fire, providing emergency communications for military families, teaching First Aid and CPR, or helping seniors maintain their health and independence through our senior nutrition program. Volunteers are helping to make Pierce County a better place to live.

To Become a Red Cross Volunteer

1. Fill out our online volunteer application (coming soon) or call (253) 474-0400 to have one mailed to you.

2. Provide the names and phone numbers of two individuals with whom you have worked or volunteered that we can call for a reference.

3. Once we have received your volunteer application and references, we will contact you for an interview. If you have any questions about becoming a volunteer, please contact us by phone at (253) 474-0400 or via email at volunteers@arctacoma.org.
